Equality Texas works to secure full equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Texans through political action, education, community organizing, and collaboration.
Out Youth serves the Central Texas LGBTQ+ (lesbian/gay/bisexual, transgender, queer and questioning) youth and their allies with programs and services to ensure these promising young people develop into happy, healthy, successful adults.
Founded in 1990, Out Youth has grown and changed over the years, but we’ve always retained our most important facet – providing a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth to come together, receive support, and make friends who understand who they are.
We host a variety of programs and services for youth, and provide trainings and resources for parents, teachers and community members.
Founded in 1980, the Human Rights Campaign advocates on behalf of LGBT Americans, mobilizes grassroots actions in diverse communities, invests strategically to elect fair-minded individuals to office and educates the public about LGBT issues.
allgo celebrates and nurtures vibrant queer people of color communities in Texas and beyond. We do this through cultural arts, wellness, and social justice programming by: supporting artists and artistic expression within our diverse communities; promoting health within a wellness model; and mobilizing and building coalitions among groups marginalized by race/ethnicity, gender/gender identity, sexual orientation/sexual identity in order to enact change.
allgo uses the term queer as an umbrella term that refers to anyone who identifies as Two-Spirit, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Gender Non-Conforming, Same Gender Loving, Asexual, Pan-sexual, Polyamorous, and Intersex. Queer is also a political statement, as well as a sexual orientation, which advocates breaking binary thinking and seeing both sexual orientation and gender identity as potentially fluid.
We, the parents, families and friends of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning persons (LGBTQ), celebrate diversity and envision a society that embraces everyone, including those of diverse sexual orientations and gender identities.
PFLAG Austin is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1994. We are an approved chapter of PFLAG National, supporting Central Texas. In addition to our monthly meetings we participate in several educational, fundraising, and political activism events throughout the year to help drive awareness and community focus

Texas Freedom Network is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization of more than 130,000 religious and community leaders who support religious freedom, individual liberties and public education. Based in Austin, TFN acts as the state’s watchdog for monitoring far-right issues, organizations, money and leaders. The organization has been instrumental in defeating initiatives backed by the religious right in Texas, including private school vouchers and textbook censorship at the State Board of Education.
